DeART S.r.l. is located in Calvenzano just 50Km east of Milano in the most important district for the production of inlaid furniture. The company was founded by Mr. Giovanni de Munari with the aim of producing and distributing quality products, this being one of the reasons our company still make 95% of all its manufacturing operations in-house. Our factory compound covers 10.000sqm and the factory itself is 4.000sqm in size, with an output capacity of nearly 3.000pcs a month.
The products manufactured by DeART S.r.l. are sold thru official distributors in Europe, America and the Far East.

In producing our product range we combine today’s most advanced technology with our craft heritage and traditions, to manufacture a range that distinctive and full of character.
There are five production processes, starting with the design of the individual piece and the selection of the appropriate inlays, and moving on to the construction, varnishing, assembly and packing.

Our products are created by a team of designers, who are primarily inspired by the rich European architectural and furnishing traditions and whose task is to marry these to the requirements of the modern market. This phase includes the selection of the most suitable inlays for the particular piece under design. The plans are developed using CAD/CAM programs.

The inlays are created by skilled craftsmen, who will select the most suitable types of wood, metal and mother of pearl based on the colour and shape requirements of the design.

All the basic wood working operations are carried out using CN machinery, which guarantees accurate reproduction of the design. All the finishing processes, and of course the application the inlays are hand done by our team of craftsmen.

This phase, which uses a special ‘teach-yourself’ robot to carry out the varnishing itself, has a vital part to play in ensuring the perfection of finish called for by the original design. Different varnishes are used for different designs, and particular attention is paid to ensure that the varnishes used resist ageing and are capable to withstanding climatic variations.

At this stage the movements, which come from Germany, are fitted into the clocks. They can be either mechanical or quartz, with different types of strikes and chimes depending upon the model. Also during this phase the final case decorations and glasses are fitted. It is also important to note that particular attention is paid to ensure the most suitable packaging is used for each item that leave our factory.
